ORANGE COUNTY HEA/LTH On motion of Councilman Patterson, ~ <br />PLANNING COUNCIL seconded by Councilman Evans and <br /> unanimously carried, the appointment <br />of a consumer representative to the Orange County Health Planning Council was <br />postponed until the next regular Council meeting, April 5, 1971. The City <br />Manager was requested to report on the number of members on the Council and <br />the breakdown of appointments. <br /> <br />FEDERAL GRANT APPLICATION Letter dated March 4, 1971, from <br />REVIEW Ray Remy, Executive Director, <br /> Southern California Association of <br />Governments, concerning its review of Federal Grant Application for proposed <br />recreational facilities at First & Flower Streets park, was received and ordered <br />filed on motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Councilman Patterson and <br />unanimously carried. <br /> <br />INCORPORATION OF CITY Letter dated March 8, 1971, from W.E. <br />OF IRVINE St. John, County Clerk, in regard to <br /> the incorporation of the City of <br />Irvine was received and ordered filed on motion of Councilman Evans, seconded <br />by Councilman Herrin, and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />STREET NAME CHANGES Acting on the recommendation of the <br />GLASSELL STREET A_ND Planning Commission dated March 12, <br />(OLD) GRAND AVENUE 1971, the following street name changes <br /> were approved on the unanimously <br />carried motion of Councilman Villa, seconded by Councilman Herrin: <br /> <br />(1) Glassell Street be changed to Grand Avenue between <br /> Santa Clara Avenue and the north City boundary; and <br /> <br />(Z) (old) Grand Avenue be changed to Old Grand Street between <br /> Santa Clara Avenue and Fairhaven Avenue. <br /> <br />DEEDS, NO CASH <br />GRANTEE, CITY <br /> <br />Resolution No. 69-156, from February 10, <br />on motion of Councilman Herrin, seconded <br />unanimously carried. <br /> <br />Council ordered filed the report <br />of No Cash Deeds accepted by the <br />City Manager, pursuant to <br />1971 through February 23, 1971, inclusive, <br />by Councilman Yamamoto and <br /> <br />DEEDS WITH CASH On motion of Councilman Herrin, <br />GRANTEE, CITY seconded by Councilman Patterson <br /> the following deed was approved <br />and the Mayor was authorized to sign all necessary documents in connection <br />with the purchase: <br /> <br />SHELL OIL CO., south side of 17th Street, east side of <br />Broadway, street purposes. <br /> <br />The motion passed on f~e following roll call vote: <br /> <br /> AYES: <br /> NOES: <br /> ABSENT: <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />Herrin, Evans, Markel, Patterson, Villa, Yamamoto, Griset <br />None <br /> None <br /> <br /> -93- March 15, 1971 <br /> <br /> <br />
