POOL PARLOR APPLICATION On motion of Councilman Herrin, <br /> seconded by Councilman Patterson, <br /> and carried on a 6 - 1 vote, Council- <br />man Yamamoto dissenting, Council approved the application for a permit to <br />operate a pool parlor, as follows: <br /> <br />TWEEDS PUB, LTD., pool parlor in conjunction with <br />restaurant establishment which will open for business <br />approximately October 1, 1971, at 1300 E. Edinger, Suite A. <br /> <br />NOISE ABATEMENT Council considered a petition <br /> dated August 7, 1971, concerning <br /> disturbance in late hours by loud <br />music and barking of dogs at 3722 S. Alder Street, Mrs. A. B~ Turner, 3726 <br />South Alder, was present to speak on the matter. The City Manager stated <br />that Police have responded to calls but have been unable to make any arrests <br />or take other action because they have not witnessed the disturbance. The <br />City Attorney stated that if an injunction were sought for the cessation of a <br />continuing nuisance, considerable costs would be incurred. After further <br />discussion, the matter was referred to Staff for investigation and necessary <br />action on motion of Councilman Patterson, seconded by Councilman Evans, and <br />unanimously carried. <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION In response to a letter dated <br /> August 12, 1971, from Jack N. <br /> Hall, Chairman, Santa Aha <br />Planning Commission, Councilman Evans was appointed representative to the <br />Planning Commission Goals and Objectives Committee, with Councilman <br />Patterson as alternate, on motion of Councilman Villa, seconded by Council- <br />man Herrin and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />DEEDS, NO CASH Council ordered filed the report <br />GRANTEE, CITY of No Cash Deeds accepted by <br /> the City Manager, pursuant to <br />Resolution No. 69-156, from July 29 through August 10, 1971, inclusive, on <br />motion of Councilman Herrin, seconded by Councilman Evans, and unanimously <br />carried. <br /> <br />DEEDS, NO CASH On motion of Councilman Herrin, <br />GRANTOR, CITY seconded by Councilman Evans, <br /> and unanimously carried, the <br />following deed was approved and the Mayor and Clerk were authorized to <br />execute the deed: <br /> <br />VARIOUS OWNERS OF RECORD, east side of Harbor, <br />north of Warner, vehicular access rights. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />-279- <br /> <br />August 16, 1971 <br /> <br /> <br />
