<br />AA Recognizing S.A.I.N.T and S.P.I.R.I.T <br />Weed and Seed Grant Revenues <br />October 04, 2004 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />The Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF) is designated as a Safe <br />Haven program. The MAOF will provide tutoring services to youth in first <br />through eighth grades. Academic tutoring will be in various subjects with <br />a focus on math, history, and science. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br /> <br />The appropriation adjustment will recognize revenue from the United States <br />Department of Justice for the FY 2004-2005 S.A.I.N.T and S.P.I.R.I.T <br />programs in the amount of $450,000 in the Weed and Seed Sites I/II Revenue <br />account (account no. 126-01-5355). In addition, it will appropriate <br />$225,000 to the S.A.I.N.T Program account (account no. 126-353-various) <br />and $225,000 to the S.P.I.R.I.T Program account (account no. 126-354- <br />various) . <br /> <br />It ~tJliL <br /> <br />patricia C.
