(CA 24) <br /> <br />SPECIFICATION NO. 73-018 Council rejected lone bid <br />FOUR 2-DOOR COMPACT SEDANS received from Anaheim Ameri- <br /> can, Anaheim, waived bidding <br /> procedure, and authorized <br />negotiated purchase of four 2-door compact sedans, pursuant to <br />Section 421 of the City Charter, on the unanimously approved <br />motion of Councilman Evans, seconded by Councilman Yamamoto. <br />(CA 65.5) <br /> <br />THORNTON PARK The interim report dated <br />PROPERTY EXCHANGE June 28, relative to the <br /> status of the negotiation <br /> for the exchange of a <br />portion of Thornton Park for similar recreational property within <br />Tentative Tract 8203 was received and filed on the unanimously <br />approved motion of Councilman Griset, seconded by Councilman <br />Evans. The matter was referred to staff on June 25. The report <br />stated the negotiations between the City and the William Lyon <br />Company were in progress. (CA 52.1) <br /> <br />COMMUNITY ANTENNA The interim report dated <br />TELEVISION June 28, relative to the <br /> status of a Community <br /> Antenna Television Service <br />was received and filed on the unanimously approved motion of <br />Councilman Griset, seconded by Councilman Evans. The matter was <br />referred to staff on October 18, 1971; a previous interim report <br />was filed January 3, 1972. The recommendation was to postpone <br />any action pending final action on a similar study and probable <br />franchise award by the City of Anaheim to avoid unnecessary <br />expenditure and duplication of efforts.
