<br />specifications have taken into account all details, methodology and scope of work to indicate the <br />precise intent of the project, thus prohibiting the potential for a contractor-driven change order. This has <br />been demonstrated by the principals and project managers through successful conclusion of varying <br />project sizes and design complexities. <br /> <br />The Bainbridge Group uses different specification formats in accordance with the City's and project <br />requirements. The Bainbridge Group has, however, used the CSI format for past private and <br />government clients. The principals have written and coordinated asbestos and lead paint project <br />specifications for numerous state and local projects. <br /> <br />Monitoring of Abatement and Clearance Testing in Relation to Lead-Based Paint Contamination. <br /> <br />Once the abatement contract is awarded to a certified lead paint abatement contractor, the project will <br />be managed by a Project Manager in charge of the certified project monitor for the duration of the <br />abatement work. <br /> <br />The personnel will, on the City's behalf, conduct the meetings required for: <br /> <br />. Pre-construction <br />. Abatement construction progress <br />. Project closeout <br /> <br />The Personnel will secure the Owner's advance approval of date and time for the meeting(s). <br /> <br />Records: <br /> <br />The Personnel will maintain a complete and legible file in chronological order, containing a copy of each <br />of the following: meeting minutes, field report, submittals, hazardous waste manifest, air, bulk and core <br />sample monitoring results, state agency notifications (DHS form 8551) and correspondence, employee <br />and visitor attendance log and other communications received relative to the Work of this section. <br /> <br />Upon completion of the Work, deliver one (1) copy of the documentation job book to the Owner. The <br />book shall include all records of the Work, project specifications, contracts, certificate of worker's <br />release, employee medical report, contractor work procedures, employee training certification, product <br />and equipment data, project record documents and all other documents, correspondence and <br />information relative to the Work. <br /> <br />Observation During Abatement: <br /> <br />Visually observe progress of Work including, but not necessarily limited to the following: <br /> <br />Verify contained work area, isolated work area and decontamination enclosure system design <br />and installation. <br />Verify that abatement engineering controls, methods and procedures specified by these <br />Contract Documents are being followed. <br />Call the attention of the Contractor's representative on the job to unacceptable engineering <br />controls, methods and procedures or unacceptable results. <br />Report to the City or City's Representative if the Contractor fails to correct unacceptable <br />methods and procedures or unacceptable results. <br />Community Development Agency - City of Santa Ana <br />Lead.Based Paint Consulting Services - Updated Qualifications <br />The Bainbridge Group, Inc, Environmental Consultants MBElDBE <br /> <br />Page 11 of 14 <br />
