VA 75-56 On motion of Council- <br />WILLIAM L. KAVESMAKI man Ward, seconded by <br /> Councilman Yamamoto, and <br /> carried, with Council- <br />man Markel voting NO, Council received and ordered filed the <br />Negative Declaration and the Findings of Fact on the following: <br /> <br />VA 73-56, WILLIAM L. KAVESMAKI, to construct <br />an office building in the A 1 District at 310 N. <br />Tustin; APPROVED. (CA 13) <br /> <br />DEEDS WITH CASH On motion of Councilman <br />GRANTEE, CITY Griset, seconded by <br /> Councilman Evans, and <br /> unanimously carried, <br />Council approved the following deeds and authorized the Mayor <br />to sign all necessary documents in connection with the <br />purchase: <br /> <br />OXFORD INVESTMENT CORPORATION, NS/ Civic Center <br />Drive, E/Main Street, street purposes. <br /> <br />HEBARD, ES/Spurgeon, at Civic Center Drive, <br />street purposes. <br /> <br />The original motion made by Councilman Griset, seconded by <br />Councilman Evans, was to continue the Item 9 B on the public <br />Agenda to the next regular meeting. <br /> <br />Prior to the motion, the Mayor referred to a letter from <br />Mrs. Weston Walker, 919 N. Olive Street, dated January 3, 1974, <br />requesting a continuance, to allow the Cultural Heritage <br />Evaluation Committee to meet with the Director of Public Works <br />to discuss alternative routes for the proposed easterly exten- <br />sion of Civic Center Drive from Bush to Minter Streets, to <br />save from demolition the historic "Waffle House". <br /> <br />Mr. Gates Burrows, representing the Cultural Heritage Commit- <br />tee, spoke in favor of the continuance. <br /> <br />The City Attorney stated that until such time as the City <br />purchases the improvements, the present owner has the right <br />to demolish the house, and Councilman Griset pointed out that <br />the Committee's position would be stronger if the City purchased <br />the house along with the street right-of-way. (CA 155; CA 85.1d) <br /> <br />TENTATIVE PARCEL MAPS On motion of Councilman <br />NOS. 839 AND 844 Griset, seconded by <br /> Councilman Garthe, and <br /> carried unanimously, <br />Council received and ordered filed the Negative Declarations <br />and approved the following maps subject to conditions contained <br />in the Planning Director's Reports; and waived the alley <br />requirement on each: <br /> <br />TENTATIVE PARCEL MAP #839 - Filed by Raymond J. <br />Hull creating three (3) C 1 parcels for commercial <br />use, located generally on the northwest corner of <br />Tustin Avenue and Seventeenth Street; and <br /> <br />TENTATIVE PARCEL MAP #844 - Filed by Cabot, Cabot <br />and Forbes creating four (4) M 1 parcels for <br />industrial use located generally on the southeast <br />corner of Harbor Boulevard and Garry Avenue.
