SPHERE OF INFLUENCE Council considered a <br />NOTIFICATION PROCEDURE letter, dated January <br /> 28, 1974, from Richard <br /> T. Turner, Executive <br />Officer, Local Agency Formation Commission, setting forth <br />procedures for hearings on Spheres of Influence. Councilman <br />Griset's motion to receive and file the letter was seconded <br />by Councilman Evans, and unanimously carried. (CA 78.4) <br /> <br />LATE CLAIM Council denied the <br />GARY E. GUNDERMAN FOR Application for Leave <br />RAFAEL FAJARDO to Present Late Claim, <br /> dated January 22, 1974, <br />from Gary E. Gunderman on behalf of Rafael Fajardo, on motion <br />of Councilman Griset, seconded by Councilman Evans, and <br />unanimously carried. (CA 65.7) <br /> <br />ASSEMBLY CONSTITUTIONAL The City Attorney was <br />AMENDMENT 67 directed to prepare an <br />PUBLIC SAFETY EMPLOYEES appropriate resolution <br /> opposing Assembly <br />Constitutional Amendment 67, removal of local control of Pub- <br />lic Safety employees, for presentation at the next Council <br />meeting on the unanimously approved motion by Councilman Garthe, <br />seconded by Councilman Griset. Council received and filed <br />resolutions opposing the amendment from the cities of Seal <br />Beach and Los Alamitos by informal unanimous agreement. (CA 50) <br /> <br />PERSONNEL BOARD A letter dated February <br />RESIGNATION 5, 1974, from Clifford <br />CLIFFORD O. COLLINS O. Collins, resigning <br /> from the Personnel Board, <br />was accepted and filed with regret on the unanimously approved <br />motion of Councilman Griset, seconded by Councilman Evans. <br /> (CA 50.8) <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION A letter dated February <br />RESIGNATION 11, 1974, from Rudy E. <br />RUDY E. GALLEGOS Gallegos, resigning <br /> from the Planning Commis- <br />sion, was accepted and filed with regret on the unanimously <br />approved motion of Councilman Griset, seconded by Councilman <br />Evans. (CA 78.1a) <br /> <br />HOUSING ELEMENT Council considered the <br />GENERAL PLAN report dated February <br /> 20, 1974, from the <br /> Planning Director, <br />transmitting Planning Commission Resolution 6048. On motion <br />of Councilman Griset, seconded by Councilman Yamamoto, with <br />dissenting vote by Councilman Markel, Council authorized <br />transfer of funds from Council Contingency Account 11-000-911 to <br />Account 11-151-191 in the amount of $5,000 for the development <br />of the Housing Element as an amendment to the General Plan of <br />the City; and received and filed the report.
