for the Senior Citizens Center. On motion of Councilman <br />Griset, seconded by Councilman Ward, with a dissenting <br />vote by Councilman Markel, Council received and filed the <br />report and directed staff to proceed with the proposed Center <br />as planned. (CA 131.10) <br /> <br />GREENBELT COMMISSION Council considered the <br />MEMBERSHIP report from the Planning <br /> Department, dated <br /> February 4, 1974, regard- <br />ing Annual Review of Greenbelt Commission membership. Member- <br />ship in the Greenbelt Commission for an additional year was <br />authorized on motion of Councilman Ward, seconded by Councilman <br />Griset, and carried with Councilmen Markel and Garthe dissent- <br />ing. (CA 145.1) <br /> <br />REVENUE SHARING FUNDS Council received and <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENTS filed the Financial <br /> Statements on Revenue <br /> Sharing Funds from <br />Diehl, Evans and Company, Certified Public Accountants, on <br />motion of Councilman Griset, seconded by Councilman Evans, <br />and unanimously carried. (CA 65.4) <br /> <br />PUBLIC SAFETY <br />AFFIRMATIVE ACTION <br />PROPOSALS <br /> <br />Safety Affirmative Action proposals. <br />moved and Councilman Garthe seconded <br /> <br /> Council considered the <br /> report from the City <br /> Manager dated February <br />20, 1974, regarding Public <br />Councilman Yamamoto <br />a motion directing the <br /> <br />staff to develop more specific proposals in accordance with <br />principles outlined for implementation of the program as soon <br />as possible; and authorizing referral of proposals to the <br />Personnel Board, Human Relations Commission, employee repre- <br />sentatives, and interested community groups for review and <br />assistance in development of specific programs for final approval <br />by Council. The motion carried unanimously. (CA 50.4) <br /> <br />PROPOSED NAME CHANGE Council considered a <br />WESTWOOD PARK TO report dated February 13, <br />MORRISON PARK 1974, from Beth Lestina, <br /> Secretary, Board of <br />Recreation and Parks, to rename Westwood Park to Morrison Park. <br />On motion of Councilman Yamamoto, seconded by Councilman Garthe, <br />the proposed name change was unanimously authorized. (CA 52) <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION A request from Mrs. <br />SHOWMOBILE Marie S. Sawtelle, <br /> 4731 Crescent Drive, <br /> Anaheim, to waive <br />the policy that prohibits the Showmobile from being used <br />outside the City limits, was referred to staff for a report <br />to Council at its meeting on March 11, on the unanimously <br />approved motion of Councilman Garthe, seconded by Councilman <br />Evans.
