RESOLUTION NO. 74-49 A RESOLUTION OF THE <br />DEDICATION AND IMPROVEMENT CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />JUNIPER AVENUE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> DEFERRING REQUIREMENT <br />OF DEDICATION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE SOUTH ONE-HALF OF <br />JUNIPER AVENUE BETWEEN HARBOR BOULEVARD AND THE SOUTHERN <br />PACIFIC RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY was continued until April 15, <br />1974 on motion of Councilman Evans, seconded by. Councilman <br />Garthe, and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Frederick A. Poss, Director of Operations for AMF-Voit, <br />Inc., 3801 South Harbor Boulevard, stated that local company <br />officials did not have the authority to support the Resolution <br />as presented or to make commitment for' expenditures implied <br />in the Resolution and proposed agreement; that, as promised <br />at the March 18 Council meeting, he had initiated communication <br />with the corporate executives of his company to effect the <br />required dedication, and indications are favorable; and that <br />following a decision on the dedication, he would pursue a <br />corporate commitment of funds for the improvement. <br /> <br />The City Attorney stated that Council could only waive require- <br />ments pertaining to the improvements; that acceptance o£ <br />dedication could be deferred if there ~¢ere satisfactory <br />security; and that any agreement prepared would include a <br />provision that improvements on the south half of &uniper <br />would be completed prior to April 1, 1977. (EA 29.4) <br /> <br />STREET IMPROVEMENT Discussion of City <br />REIMBURSEMENT policy as it pertains <br />MAC ARTHUR BOULEVARD to reimbursement for <br /> improvement of MacArthur <br />Boulevard between Bear Street and Plaza Drive ~as continued <br />until the April 15 meeting on motion of Councilman Evans, <br />seconded by Councilman Garthe, and unanimously carried. (GA 29.4) <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION <br />SANTIAGO PARK <br /> <br />at Santiago Park, stating <br />of the park, <br /> <br /> Margaret Wattles, 406 <br /> Virginia Avenue objected <br /> to the fencing and gates <br /> presently being installed <br />that they would change the quality <br /> <br />The matter was referred to staff for report at the next regular <br />meeting, April 15, 1974, and further work was ordered discontinued, <br />on the unanimously approved motion of Councilman Evans, seconded <br />by Councilman Garthe. (CA 52) <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION <br />TENNIS COURT <br /> <br />reservation requirement, <br />use at First and Flower <br />installation of <br /> <br /> Mr. Andrew Barasch, 1925 <br /> South Oak, spoke against <br /> the fifty cents per hour <br /> charge, the advance <br /> and the one-hour limit for tennis court <br /> Streets, and spoke in favor of the <br />a metered lighting system. <br /> <br />The matter was referred to staff and to the Board of Recreation <br />and Parks for report and recommendation on all three issues, on <br />the unanimously approved motion of Councilman Ward, seconded By <br />Councilman Evans.
