Several of the opponents requested that the bike lanes be removed from Lincoln Avenue if they are not used by bicyclists. There were no other proponents or opponents, and the Mayor closed the Public Hearing. On motion of Councilman Ward, seconded by Councilman Yamamoto, and carried with dissenting vote by Councilman Evans, Council approved restriction of parking for a bike trail on the west side of Lincoln Avenue, from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. daily, and instructed the City Attorney to prepare appropriate resolution as recommended by the Director of Public Works, to provide bike lane in accordance with the Council's Master Bike Route Plan. Prior to the motion, Council expressed interest in considering traffic safety measures to reduce speed on Lincoln Avenue. (CA 18.6) PUBLIC HEARING The Public Hearing to PEEP SHOW PERMIT consider the Appeal of JJM, INC. JJM, Inc. concerning Application for a Peep Show Permit was removed from the Agenda, on the unani- mously carried motion of Councilman Evans, seconded by Council- man Yamamoto. Prior to the motion the City Attorney informed Council that JJM, Inc. no longer exists as a Nevada corporation, and it would be premature for Council to consider the application at this time. (CA 149.1) ORAL REPORT Director of Public WAFFLE HOUSE Works Ronald Wolford presented an oral report regarding the status of the Waffle House, located on the northwest corner of Seventh and Bush Streets, as follows: 1) Status of Civic Center Drive Project - Bids will be opened in the latter part of September, 1974, with Bid Award scheduled for the first Council meeting in October. The Project specs provide for temporary relocation of the Waffle House on the northwest corner of French Street and Civic Center Drive East in December. 2) Status of Orange County Study of the Heritage Square Concept - No action has yet been taken by the County. Relocation of Present Waffle House Tenant Under the provisions of Relocation law, over 30 alternate locations have been presented by Staff to the tenants, all of which have been rejected, and eviction proceedings may be required. (CA 85.1d) EIR 74-5 Draft Environmental WIDENING OF Impact Report 74-5 NORTH MAIN STREET for the widening of North Main Street prepared by the Director of Public Works in connection with Project 1348, was adopted and certified as final EIR, on the unanimously carried motion of Councilman Griset, seconded by Councilman Evans.
