PETITION FOR The Council voted to <br />IMPROVEMENT OF support the concept of <br />F 02 CHANNEL improvements to most <br /> earth channels within <br />the City by the Orange County Flood Control District in the <br />future planning efforts of that Agency, on the unanimously <br />carried motion of Councilman Griset, seconded by Councilman <br />Evans. The action taken was recommended by the Director of <br />Public Works in a report dated December 10, 1974, in response <br />to a petition filed by Mr. Benjamin Krouse, 1222 South Raitt <br />Street, and referred to staff on November 18, 1974. The <br />petition requested that the F 02 Channel along Raitt Street <br />between Edinger and McFadden be enclosed beneath the ground <br />and that steps to implement the project proceed at once so <br />that the bicycle lanes could be removed from their present <br />location within the traveled way of Raitt Street. <br /> <br />The motion further provided that Item 170 be deleted from the <br />Council Referral Summary. (CA 53) <br /> <br />SANTA ANA HISTORY ROOM The City Council approved <br />SANTA ANA MAIN LIBRARY in principle the proposal <br /> by the Santa Aha Cultural <br /> Heritage Committee to <br />establish a Santa Ana History Room in the Santa Ana main <br />Library, on the unanimously approved motion of Councilman <br />Yamamoto, seconded by Councilman Ward. The motion also in- <br />structed the Clerk to receive and file the written proposal <br />from the Committee and the report dated December 4, 1974 from <br />the Library Director.
