<br />AGREEMENT 1-2354 <br />Exhibit A <br /> <br />PE 1.7 <br /> <br />Criteria for Safety, Security, and Systems Assurance <br /> <br />Purpose: This Vlork element is to provide guidance to the designers and architects to ensure that <br />safety, security, reliability and maintainability have been effectively incorporated. <br /> <br />CONSULTANT will review the following sources: FTA criteria on safety, emergency planning <br />and security; NFP A 130, Standard for Fixed Guideway Systems, and other applicable NFP A <br />standards; and the criteria used by the Los Angeles and San Diego light rail projects. The <br />CONSULTANT will perform this review to ensure The CenterLine Project is in compliance with <br />the latest security requirements for public infrastructure. This is of particular importance since <br />this project will be implemented after the 9/11101 terrorist tragedy in New York City. The <br />CONSULTANT will be familiar with the Security Infrastructure Partnership and ensure <br />compliance with the requirements to most likely be established by DOT Secretary Norman Y. <br />Mineta's new Transportation Security Administration.
