The annual adjustment of trash rates was set for public <br />hearing on September 2, 1975, on the motion of Councilman <br />Ward, seconded by Councilman Ortiz, and carried (4-0) <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />CA 11.4 <br /> <br />SENIOR CITIZENS SERVICE CENTER The City Manager's <br />PROPOSED PROGRAMMING - STATUS proposed programming <br />REPORT status report dated <br /> July 29, 1975, was <br />received and filed on the motion of Councilman Ortiz, se- <br />conded by Councilman Ward, and unanimously (4-0) carried. <br /> <br />Project Architect, Albert Alves, presented three color <br />drawings of the proposed Senior Citizens Service Center <br />and explained how the various areas had been planned and <br />how they would be used. <br /> <br />CA 131.10 <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION Bill C. Hall, <br />HARTFIELD BUILDING Executive Director <br /> of the City Center <br /> Association, out- <br />lined his extensive efforts to contact the responsible <br />parties to clean up the unsightly appearance of the Hart- <br />field Building, 107 West Fourth Street, which has been un- <br />occupied for some time and left in a condition objectionable <br />to the City Center Association. Councilman Evans assured <br />Mr. Hall that the Staff would be willing to assist in any <br />way possible. CA 87 <br /> <br />RECESS At 4:27 P.M., Vice <br /> Mayor, Vernon S. Evans, <br /> recessed the meeting <br /> for dinner at the <br />Windchimer Restaurant; the meeting was reconvened at 7:30 <br />P.M. with the same Councilmen present. <br /> <br />INVOCATION Following the Pledge <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE of Allegiance to the <br /> Flag, led by Girl <br /> Scout Mini-Troop #1817, <br />under the leadership of Candy Carlson, Dr. James W. Parker, <br />Bristol Street Baptist Church, gave the invocation. CA 9.10 <br /> CA 80.17 <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION PRESENTATIONS The proclamation <br />BETTER WATER FOR SANTA ANA WEEK "Better Water for <br /> Santa Ana Week" was <br /> presented to each <br />of the following representatives of the various water districts <br />serving the City of Santa Ana: Metropolitan Water District <br />of Southern California represented by Mr. Howard Crook, <br />Orange County Water District, represented by Mr. Courtney <br />Chandler, and Municipal Water District of Orange County, <br />represented by Mr. Bill Meadows. The proclamations were <br />presented by Councilman James Ward who expressed the City's <br />appreciation for the fine quality service given to Santa <br />Ana. CA 46 <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING Vice Mayor Vernon <br />VA 75-28 - VERSAILLES INVESTORS S.
