COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARDS The Community Service <br />PROGRAM Awards Program will be <br /> continued to September <br /> 2, 1975, on the motion <br />of Councilman Ward, seconded by Councilman Evans and carried <br />(5-0) unanimously in accordance with the request of the <br />Mayor. ~A <br /> <br />RENTAL CHARGES FOR USE OF The report of the <br />CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS City Manager dated <br /> July 29, 1975, re- <br /> garding the rental <br />charges made for the use of the Council Chambers was re- <br />ceived and filed on the motion of Councilman Ward, seconded <br />by Councilman Evans and unanimously (5-0) carried. It was <br />the consensus that the Council Chambers should be provided <br />for public or private groups in Santa Ana on a first-come <br />first-served basis as is our present policy. CA <br /> CA <br /> <br />LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES' The proposal of the <br />PROPOSAL FOR 10% STATE INCOME League of California <br />TAX INCREASE Cities for a 10% State <br /> Income Tax increase <br />was continued to September 2, 1975, so that it may be con- <br />sidered by the full Council, on the motion of Councilman <br />Ward, seconded by Councilman Bricken and carried (S-0) <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />CA <br /> <br />77A <br />80.6 <br /> <br />148.5 <br /> <br />GARDENS FOR ALL The "Gardens for Ail" <br />STATUS REPORT Status Report dated <br /> August 11, 1975, was <br /> received and filed <br />and the Staff recommendation not to implement the program <br />at this time due to inadequate citizen interest was adopted <br />on the motion of Councilman Evans, seconded by Councilman <br />Bricken and carried (5-0) unanimously. CA 45 <br /> <br />CLAIMS PROCEDURES The report of the <br /> City Attorney dated <br /> August 12, 1975, re- <br /> garding Claims <br />Procedures was received and filed on the motion of Council- <br />man Evans, seconded by Councilman Ward, and carried (5-0) <br />unanimously. CA 65.7 <br /> <br />PROPOSED CLOSURE OF GARFIELD The proposed closure <br />STREET BETWEEN BROWN AND SIXTH of Garfield Street <br />STREETS FOR A MINI-PARK between Brown and <br /> Sixth Streets for a <br />mini-park was set for an informal public hearing at 7:30 <br />p.m. on September 2, 1975, on the motion of Councilman Ward, <br />seconded by CouncilmEn Bricken and unanimously (5-0) <br />carried.
