PUBLIC HEARING- AMEND.APP. 756 Mayor Garthe announced <br />SENIOR CITIZENS HOUSING PROJECT that this was the time <br />APPROVED and place for the Pub- <br /> lic Hearing of Amend- <br />ment Application 756 to rezone from the "O" Open Space and <br />"P" Professional Height District II, to the "SD" Specific <br />Development District, and the Specific Development Plan for <br />the Senior Citizens Housing Project, located between First, <br />Ross and Birch Streets, and the Northerly line of that which <br />was formerly Second Street. <br /> <br />Charles Zimmerman, Planning Director, stated that the "SD" <br />Specific Development District rezoning had been approved by <br />the Planning Commission on January 26, 1976. <br /> <br />Mr. Zimmerman provided a written report dated February 10, 1976 <br />and stated that the "SD" Specific Development District rezoning <br />and the Specific Development Plan for the property (Santa Ana <br />Towers) were approved by the Planning Commission on January 26, <br />1976. <br /> <br />There were no proponents or opponents; there were no written <br />communications; and the Mayor closed the Public Hearing. <br /> <br />On the motion of Councilman Brandt, seconded by Councilman Ward, <br />Council certified that the information contained in the Redevelop- <br />ment Agency's Environmental Impact Report had been reviewed and <br />considered; the motion carried unanimously (7:0). <br /> <br />On the motion of Councilman Brandt, seconded by Councilman Evans, <br />and carried (7:0) unanimously, the following Ordinance was placed <br />on first reading: <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NS-1299 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 736 <br />INITIATED BY THE PLANNING COM~{ISSION TO REZONE <br />REAL PROPERTY FROM P (PROFESSIONAL) HEIGHT DISTRICT <br />II AND 0 (OP£N SPACE) DISTRICT TO THE SD (SPECIFIC <br />DEVELOPMENT) DISTRICT, AND AMENDING SECTIONAL <br />DISTRICT MAP 12-5-10. <br /> <br />0n the motion of Councilman Brandt, seconded by Councilman <br />Yamamoto, and carried (7:0) unanimously, the following <br />Ordinance was placed on first reading: <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NS-1300 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA APPROVING AND ADOPTING A SPECIFIC DEVELOP- <br />MENT PLAN FOR THE SENIOR CITIZEN HOUSING PROJECT. <br /> <br />CA 10 <br />CA 137.8 <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION Councilman Gordon <br />LEAGUE REPRESENTATIVE Bricken was appointed <br />BRICKEN APPOINTED as one of the Orange <br /> County League of <br />Cities representatives to the Advisory Committee to the <br />Southern California Air Pollution Control Board, on the <br />motion of Councilman Evans, seconded by Councilman Brandt, <br />and carried (~7:0) unanimously.
