PROPOSED FLAG FOR SANTA ANA After consideration <br />REFERR3tL ITEM #2-?6 of the report pre- <br />AUTHORIZED pared by Public <br /> Information Officer <br />Frank Blaszcak dated March 16, Staff was authorized to <br />encourage a program with a reward for a recommendation for <br />a design of a City Flag, on the motion of Councilman Ward, <br />seconded by Councilman Bricken, and carried (4:2), wit5 <br />Councilmen Evans and Ortiz dissenting. The original motion <br />which provided for a prize of $?6 was amended on the motion <br />of Councilman Ward, seconded by Councilman Bricken, and <br />unanimously (6:0) carried to delete the amount of the prize. <br /> <br />Councilmen Yamamoto and Ortiz stated that they were opposed <br />to-hiring an outside consultant for the project, an~ Coun- <br />cilman Brandt said that he would like to see the program <br />involve students at various levels. CA 80.12 <br /> <br />MORTIMER STREET CUL-DE-SAC In response to the <br />REFERRAL ITEM #7-76 request dated Janu- <br />HEARING SET; DELETED ary 29, 1976 from <br /> the Ebell Society <br />for a cul-de-sac of Mortimer Street at Civic Center Drive <br />East, an informal Public Hearing was scheduled for April S, <br />1976 at 7:30 P.M.; and Council Referral Item #?-?6 was <br />deleted from the Referral Summary, on the motion of Coun- <br />cilman Brandt, seconded by Councilman Bricken, and carried <br /> (6:0) unanimously.
