TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PLAN - BRISTOL -On the motion of Council- <br />COUNCIL REFERRAL 54-76 - DELETED man Ward, seconded by <br />HEARING SET Councilman Evans, and <br /> carried 6:0 unanimously, <br />a public hearing was set for February 7, 1977 at 7:30 P.M. in <br />the Council Chambers to consider the proposed Bristol Street <br />Traffic Management Plan as listed below; Council Referral <br />Item No. 54-76 was deleted from the Summary. <br /> <br />1) The reconstruction of the Bristol Street-Memory <br /> Lane intersection to provide dual left-turn <br /> lanes on Bristol Street; <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />The elimination of parking on Bristol Street <br />between Seventeenth Street and Santiago Creek <br />for the purpose of re-striping to provide a <br />two-way left-turn median; and <br /> <br />5) The.closure of Elm Street at Bristol Street. <br /> <br />CA 18 <br />CA 29.1 <br />CA 29.4 <br /> <br />WHEELCHAIR RAMPS On the motion of <br />COUNCIL REFERRAL 47-76 - DELETED Councilman Evans, <br />~ILED seconded by Council- <br /> man Yamamoto, the <br />report of the Public Works Director, John Stevens, dated <br />December 28, 1976, on City policy and standards for imple- <br />mentation and construction of wheelchair ramps at street <br />intersections was received and filed, and Council Referral <br />Item No. 47-76 deleted from the Summary. The motion carried <br />unanimously 6:0. Included <br />in the motion was the direction-that the revision to Sec- <br />tion 906 pertaining to subpoena power for Boards and <br />Commissions be referred to the Charter Revision Committee. <br /> CA 129 <br /> <br />DDT (DRINKING DRIVING TEAM) A "Driving While <br />MULTI-JURISDICTIONAL TRAINING Intoxicated" training <br />APPROVED course was approved <br /> and employment of <br />Northwestern University Traffic Institute as the training <br />facility was ratified on the unanimously approved 6:0 motion <br />of Councilman Evans, seconded by Councilman Brandt. The <br />motion further authorized payment for the course from the <br />State Office of Traffic Safety Grant Funds, described more <br />fully in the report prepared by Police Lieutenant C. R. <br />Miller and dated December 20, 1976.
