BMBRGBNCY ORDINANCB NS-1342 In accordance with a <br />"ADULT ACTIVITY" FACILITIES report prepared by <br />ADOPTED the City Attorney dated <br /> December iS, 1976 <br />emergency Ordinance No. NS-1342 entitled as follows, with <br />the addition of the word "primarily" (on line 6 of paragraph <br />2 of Section 2 after the word "devoted") was adopted on the <br />motion of Councilman Bricken, seconded by Councilman Yamamoto, <br />and carried 6:0 unanimously: <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. NS-1542 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA PROHIBITING ADULT ACTIVITY USES FOR <br />AN INTERIM PERIOD PENDING AMENDMENT OF THE ZONING <br />PROVISIONS OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE. <br /> <br />CA 91 <br />CA 10 <br /> <br />CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION SERVICES On the recemmendation <br />EDA PROJECTS of Public Works Direc- <br />TEMPORARY INSPBCTORS AUTHORIZED tot John B. Stevens <br /> in his report dated <br />December 29, 1976, employment of four to eight temporary <br />construction inspectors was authorized, and the Director <br />of Public Works was authorized to negotiate with William <br />R. Miller for professional construction inspection and project <br />management services necessary for the construction of the new <br />Fashion Square parking structure and West Branch Library, <br />on the motion of Councilman Ward, seconded by Councilman <br />Bricken, and carried 4:2, with Councilmen Evans and Brandt <br />dissenting. CA 140.30 <br /> <br />VARIANCE 76-57 BAKER SQUARE A public hearing was <br />SBT FOR PUBLIC HEARING set for February 7, <br /> 1977 at 7:30 P.M. to <br /> aonsider Variance <br /> Application 76-S7 to locate the Baker Square Apartment Com- <br /> plex at 611-61S North Bristol, 618-630 North Baker, on the <br /> motion of Councilman Evans, seconded by Councilman Brandt, <br /> and carried $:1, with Councilman Yamamoto dissenting. A <br /> prior motion to approve the Planning Commission Finding of <br /> Fact made by Councilman Yamamoto and seconded by Councilman <br /> Ward, failed on a 2:4 vote, with Councilmen Brandt, Evans <br /> and Bricken, ~nd Mayor Garthe dissenting. The Environmental <br /> Impact Report for Variance 76-S7 was approved by Council on <br /> November 1, 1976. CA 13.3a <br /> <br />VARIANCE 76-46, APPEAL 370 On the recommendation <br />APPEAL WITHDRAWN of the Planning <br />APPROVED CONDITIONALLY Department and with <br /> the approval of the <br />Planning Commission, the Negative Declaration was approved <br />and filed, and the Planning Commission Finding of Fact, <br />with revised conditions as listed in the Planning Director's <br />report of December 22, 1976, was approved, on the motion of <br />Councilman Bricken, seconded by Mayor Garthe, and carried 5:1, <br />with Councilman Evans dissenting. <br /> <br />Variance 76-46 permits the construction of an automobile <br />service center with sales of parts and accessories, waiving <br />a portion of the required parking, in the R1 and C2 Districts <br />at 1530 and 1544 Bast First Street. <br /> <br />Representatives of Royal Inn, Appellant, Appeal No. 370, <br />indicated to the Planning Department that the Appeal will <br />not be pursued in consideration for the added conditions. <br /> CA 13.3 <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 8 JANUARY 3, 1977 <br /> <br /> <br />
