APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENT 95 Appropriation Adjustment <br />BUS PASSENGER SHELTERS #95 transferring $55,000 <br />APPROVED from Orange County Transit <br /> District Revenue Account <br />to Local Streets account for installation of bus passenger <br />shelters was approved on the motion of Councilman Ward, seconded <br />by Councilman Garthe, and carried 5:1, with Councilman Ortiz <br />dissenting. CA 65.3 <br /> CA 84 <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION Mr. Miles Leach, 2025 <br />WATER CONSERVATION METHODS West Tenth Street, sug- <br /> gested that the Water <br /> Conservation booklet <br />mailed to residents of Santa Ana should have advised customers <br />to have the water level mechanism adjusted in toilet tanks <br />rather than to advise the placement of a plastic bottle in <br />the tank. He stated his opinion that the plastic bottle could <br />move and keep the water running. CA 12 <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION Fire Chief B. J. Thompson <br />PARAMEDIC SERVICE REPORT reported that Santa Aha <br /> Tustin Community Hospital <br /> hopes to have sufficient <br />personnel for the operation of the third paramedic van by <br />May 1S, 1977; that a driver, an EMT I and two paramedics will <br />be on duty. Chief Thompson also reported that the Fire Depart- <br />ment's paramedic truck company had been in service since the <br />seventh day of March, and had made 191 emergency medical <br />responses, averaging six per day, or 180 calls per month; and <br />that the Department has seven student paramedics progressing <br />exceptionally well in the training program. CA 64.2 <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION On the unanimously <br />WEST BRANCH LIBRARY GROUNDBREAKING approved 6:0 motion of <br />MAYOR PRO TBM APPOINTED Councilman Ward, <br /> seconded by Councilman <br />Garthe, Councilman Harry K. Yamamoto was appointed Mayor Pro <br />Tem to officiate at the groundbreaking for the West Branch <br />Library to be held Monday, April 25, 1977.
