NS-1492 - FIRST READING and Amendment Application No. 817 to <br /> rezone property located on the south- <br />west corner of Harbor Boulevard and Hazard Avenue from the Planned Shopping <br />Center District to the Arterial Comercial District. <br /> <br />Assistant Planner William Daugherty stmmmrized the informatic~ contained in the <br />staff report dated May 15, 1979, prepared by the Planning Department. <br /> <br />Barbara Proknow, representing the owners, stated that she would answer any questions <br />Council might have. <br /> <br />The Deputy Clerk of the Council reported there were no written communications. <br />There were no speakers for or against the Amendment Application. The Ymyor closed <br />the public hearing. <br /> <br />MOTION was made by Yamamoto, seconded by Luxembourger, to approve and file the <br />Negative Declaration, place the following ordinance on first reading and <br />authorize publication of title: <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. NS-1492 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 817 TO REZONE PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE SOUTHWEST <br />CORNER OF HARBOR BOULEVARD AND HAZARD AVENUE FROM THE C4 (PLANNED SHOPPING <br />CENTER) DISTRICT TO THE CS (ARTERIAL C(]~IAL) DISTRICT AND AMENDING <br />SECTIONAL MAP NO. 9-S-10. <br /> <br />AYES: BRICI<EN, GRISET, LUXEMBOURGER, MARl<EL, SERRATO, WARD, YAMAMOTO <br />NOES: NONE <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING - SANTA ANITA NORTHEAST <br />ASSESS~NT DISTRICT NO. 241 <br />RESOLUTIONS 79-90, 79-91, 79-92, 79-93 <br /> <br />The Mayor opened the public hearing <br />to consider appeals of the assessments <br />in the matter of Assessment District <br />No. 241, Santa A~ita Northeast. <br /> <br />The Deputy Clerk of the Council reported that Notice of Filing of Assessment and <br />of tinm and place for hearing were published, posted and mailed as prescribed by <br />law, and affidavits are on file in the office of the Clerk of the Council. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works John Stevens explained the method and formula of <br />assessment spread, and enumerated proposed changes and modifications to certain <br />assessments. <br /> <br />The Deputy Clerk of the Council reported that there were two written protests <br />received: 1) a protest from Myrta L. Lucart, 3507 West Hazard Avenue, copies of <br />which had been provided to Council, and 2) a protest from Mrs. Margaret Hills, <br />1010 North Bewley Street, received on June 4, 1979, which was read aloud by <br />the Deputy Clerk of the Council. <br /> <br />MOTION was made by Serrato, seconded by Griset, to receive and file the two <br />written protests. <br /> <br />AYES: BRICKEN, GRISET, LUXEMBCURGER, MARKEL, SERRATO, WARD, YAMAMOTO <br />NOES: NONE <br /> <br />The Mayor invited those who filedwritten protests to address the Council. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />191 JUNE 4, 1979 <br /> <br /> <br />
