The Council reconvened <br />at 7:35 p.m. in the City Council Chambers with all Council members <br />present except Mayor Ward, who arrived at 7:45 p.m. <br /> <br />INVOCATION <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />Innerlife Christian Fellowship. <br /> <br />Following the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag, the <br />Invocation was given by <br />Reverend Phil Palacios, <br /> <br />CC~ITY SPOTLIGHT William Bloom described the <br />MYASTHENIA GRAVIS FOUNDATION history, purpose, organization <br /> and fund raising activities <br /> of the Myasthenia Gravis <br />Foundation. Councilman Yamamoto presented a City Seal tile plaque to <br />Mr. Bloom in appreciation for the organization's conmnnity service. <br /> <br />OATHS OF OFFICE Oaths of Office were adminis- <br />KANE r FRANCIS - SILVAS tered by the Deputy Clerk of <br /> the Council to Rudy Francis, <br /> and John Kane, appointees to <br />the Human ~lations and Housing Advisory Commissions, and Michael <br />Silvas, Personnel Board; and the Board and Commissions members were <br />welcommi by the City Council members. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING Vice Mayor Bricken referred <br />CONDOMINIIB~ORDINANCE to a memorandum to Council <br />CONTINUED TO AUGUST 20 from Councilman Serrato, which <br /> had not been received by all <br />Council members prior to the meeting, containing recommendations for <br />Council consideration for inclusion in the proposed condominit~n ordinance. <br />The Vice Mayor suggested that Council might wish to continue the matter <br />to give Council members and staff the opportunity to adequately review <br />the recommendations contained in Councilman Serrato's memo dated August 6. <br /> <br />Mayor Ward arrived during discussion of the proposed continuance. <br /> <br />~DTION was made by Yamamoto, seconded by Markel, to continue the public <br />hearing for consideration of ORDINANCE NO.
