<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />'. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS TO ADOPT RESOLUTIONS DIRECTING CONDEMNATION <br />OF PROPERTIES WITHIN THE FERRANTE/WALDER DEVELOPMENT SITE <br />(819,903 AND 907 N. FLOWER STREET) <br /> <br />A motion was made by Mr. Acosta, seconded by Mr. Serrato and <br />carried unanimously to rescind the prior motion of <br />continuance until January 18,1983. <br /> <br />Chairman Bricken announced that this was the time and place <br />for the public hearing on the issue of the public necessity <br />to acquire by condemnation property known as assessor <br />parcels 005-142-38, 39, and 40 for redevelopment purposes. <br /> <br />Chairman Bricken requested that Staff identify the property <br />and the project and to comment on the factors and evidence <br />necessitating the condemnation action. Chairman Bricken <br />also requested that staff set forth why the public interest <br />and necessity require the project; why the project is <br />planned or located in the manner that will be most <br />compatible with greatest public good and the least private <br />injury; and why the property sought to be acquired is <br />necessary for the project. <br /> <br />Mr. Thomas E. Hammill, Assistant Director Redevelopment and <br />Real Estate, reported that each property consists of a <br />residential lot improved with a house, one of which has been <br />redone into a law office. The properties are located at <br />819, 903, and 907 N. Flower Street, Santa Ana, California. <br />The property located at 819 N. Flower Street is owned by <br />Leslie Badin, Jr., Heather Badin, and Elizabeth M. Tipping <br />and is an irregular shaped lot measuring approximately 83' x <br />64', more or less, containing 5,224 square feet. It is <br />improved with a one-story single family residence <br />constructed in 1908 containing 785 square feet. This <br />residence is now utilized as a law office. The office has a <br />total of six rooms consisting of a reception area, four <br />office spaces and a half bath. The lot is also improved <br />with 3,500 square feet of asphalt paved parking which <br />provides nine parking spaces. <br /> <br />The property located at 903 N. Flower Street is owned by <br />Arthur J. Donahue and patricia J. Donahue and is a lot <br />measuring 45' x 64' containing 2,897 square feet. It is <br />improved with a single family residence constructed in 1911 <br />containing 816 square feet with no garage structure. The <br />house has a total of five rooms including two bedrooms and <br />one bath. <br /> <br />The property located at 907 N. Flower Street is owned by <br />Stuart Schmid and Charlyn Schmid and is a lot measuring 45' <br />x 64' containing 2,897 square feet. It is improved with a <br /> <br />-4- <br />
