CA 46 <br /> <br />COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT Dr. Diane Van Hook, Director, <br />NEW HORIZONS PROGRAM New Horizons Progam, Santa <br />SANTA ANA COLLEGE Ana College, presented an overview <br /> of the program which was developed <br />to identify the emerging needs of the community and design a network of <br />interrelated services. Mayor Gordon Bricken presented a City Seal Tile <br />plaque to Dr. Van Hook on behalf of the Council, in recognition of this <br />educational service to Orange County. CA 9.4 <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING - APPEAL NO. 465 Mayor Pro Tem Serrato opened the <br />VA 82-5 - 400 N. TUSTIN AVE. public hearing of Appeal Application <br />CA INSTRUCTED No. 465 filed by Western National <br /> Bank, appealing the Planning <br />Commission's denial of Variance 82-5, to permit an additional exterior sign <br />on the building parapet at 400 N. Tustin, modifying VA 80-61, and exceeding <br />both the number and coverage requirements of the LP District. <br /> <br />The Director of Planning and Development Services stated that since the <br />reorganization of the bank, staff has not had an opportunity to meet <br />with the new banking establishment. <br /> <br />The Chief of Planning presented the staff report and recommendations. <br /> <br />The Clerk of the Council reported no written communications. <br /> <br />There were no speakers on the matter.
