Sample Scope of Services--continued Task 12 - Landscape Architecture Landscape architectural tasks include attending meetings, reviewing and analyzing and projects, providing technical advice to Cily personnel, and coordination wilh other public agencies and utility companies. Our proposed landscape subconsultant, Lynn Capouya, Inc. (LCI), will also prepare designs and produce construction plans, specifications, and estimates for landscape improvement projects. LC[ will provide construction administration services on these projects. LC[ will prepare special reports regarding landscape images, aesthetics, materials and maintenance. They are skilled at facilitating the public input process. Landscape inspections can also be provided, including reviews of new installations and on-going maintenance of irrigation systems. LC[ can also provide peer review of landscape improvements to streets, medians, slopes and park projects designed by others. Task 13 - Right-of-Way and Property Acquisition The project will be completed within the existing right-of-way so no right-of-way plans will be needed. Task 14 - Final Design Final design will commence upon approval of the preliminary design by the City, agencies, and the utility companies. Changes or additions required, as a result of the preliminary plan review, will be incorporated into the final design. Final calculations and studies will then be performed, and the plan layout will be produced. Preliminary cost estimates will be updated. Specifications will be prepared using City-supplied hoilerplate forms. A final design package will then be submitted to the City and appropriate agencies for review and approval. Prints of the updated final design plans will be submitted to the appropriate utility companies for review. Concurrently, an independent check of the plans, calculations, specifications, and quantities will be performed as part of Boyle's QA/QC program. Our three-part plan includes: I) review of the design criteria by a senior member of the staff with relevant expertise who checks for clarity and the appropriateness of the criteria; 2) review of the preliminary plans for clarity, adherence to design criteria, and coordination between documents; and 3) review of final plans, specifications, and estimates for clarity, coordination, and to guard against ambiguities and contlicts. The review will check for plan accuracy and completeness as well as constructibility. Task 15 - Plans, Specifications, and Estimate Final construction plans and details will be prepared. Final specifications, including special provisions and references, to supplement the Standard Specifications.f(Jr Puhlic Works Construction (Green Book) and/or the Caltrans Standard Specificationsf(Jr Traffic Engineering, will be prepared. A final construction quantity estimate and bid schedule will be incorporated into the contract documents, and an Estimate of Probable Construction Costs will be submitted. The Plans will include, at a minimum, the following; . Title sheet showing: Title Vicinity and Location Map with Plan Sheet Index Utility and Plan Legends Benchmark, Basis of Bearings General Notes and Master Copy of Construction Notes. Standard Signature Utility Notes, Contact Names, and Telephone Numbers . Plan and Profile Sheets (Profiles maybe shown but it will match exisling) Prepare Plan and Profile Sheets at a scale of 1"=20' horizontal and 1"=4' vertical.
