Ross E Lew, PE <br />Civil Engineer— Street Improvements <br />• Sewer Restoration Project -Upper Newport Bay, Newport Beach, <br />`California. Project engineer responsible for plans, specifications <br />and estimate for the slope restoration at Newport Beach Backbay <br />due to slope failures. The work included design of a fill slope <br />buttress, slope subdrains and surface drainage collection system, <br />earth diversion berms, concrete spillway and reconstruction of a <br />storm drain system. These services were performed for Orange <br />County Public Facilities and Resources Department and all designs <br />conformed to Orange County standards. <br />• State Route 57, Santa Ana Viaduct Expressway, Orange County, <br />California. Design Engineer responsible for planning a new <br />expressway over the Santa Ana River from SR22 to I-405. The <br />work included geometric design alternatives, interchange type <br />selection and local street realignments. All geometric designs were <br />performed with the Intergraph Inroads software and conformed to <br />Caltrans standards and guidelines. <br />• Repair Parking Areas, Navy Marine Corps Reserve Center, <br />Bakersfield, California. Project Engineer responsible for the <br />design to repair existing parking areas at the Navy Marine Corps <br />Reserve Center. The project included an evaluation of the existing <br />structural pavement and a new design section to accommodate <br />- additional vehicle loads. Other work included extensive utility relocations and <br />coordination with various utility agencies, and coordination with <br />railroad agencies.
