Smith, PE <br />Traffic Studies & Design <br />Mr. Smith has over 18 years of experience in transportation and traffic <br />engineering. His project experience includes numerous highway <br />designs and 3R improvement projects, ITS applications and traffic <br />operations improvements, traffic impact analysis, parking analysis and <br />design of over 150 traffic signals and systems, and the preparation of <br />site plans and parking layouts for residential and commercial <br />developments. He has also participated in the preparation of several <br />conceptual design reports for highway projects. Mr. Smith has <br />extensive experience in computer applications in traffic and <br />transportation engineering including Highway Capacity Manual <br />Software and the use of TRANSYT-7F and PASSER II for analysis and <br />timing of traffic signal systems. He has also directed the use of impact <br />analysis models in the preparation of traffic impact studies. <br />Representative Experience <br />• Project Manager of tasks for the Irvine TMSOS, which included <br />concept design of TMS elements, assistance in preparation of a <br />concept design report, PS&E of CMS locations and preparation of <br />a Signal Coordination Policies and Practices Report. <br />• Assistant project manager for the I-5/SR-55 Congestion Relief <br />Corridor Project in Santa Ana, CA.
