WHEREAS, pursuant to the Charter of the City of Santa Ana, a general <br />municipal election was held in the City of Santa Ana on November 6, 1984 <br />to fill the offices Of m~mbers of the City CoUncil of said City nominated <br />from Wards 1, 3, 5 and 7 of said City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in addition, pursuant to Resolutions No. 84-92 and 84-93 of <br />this Council, the following ballot measure was su~itted to the voters of <br />the City at said election: <br /> <br />COMPENSATION OF THE MAYOR <br /> <br />Shall Section 402 of the Charter be amended to provide that the <br />City Council may establish a salary for the mayor by ordinance of <br />the City? <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. That the results of the said election, including the <br />whole number of votes cast in the City, the names of the persons voted <br />for, the measures voted upon, for what office each person was voted for, <br />the number of votes given at each precinct to each person and for and <br />against each measure, and the number of votes given in the City to each <br />person and for and against each measure, are set forth in that certain <br />document attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by this <br />reference as though fully set forth. <br /> <br /> 2. That, based upon the said results, the following persons are <br />declared elected to the following respective offices, for four-year terms <br />co~encing November 20, 1984: <br /> <br /> WILSON B. HART, Member of the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana from Ward One. <br /> <br /> JOHN ACOSTA, Member of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana <br />from Ward Three. <br /> <br /> DANIEL E. GRISET, M~anber of the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana fremWard Five. <br /> <br /> PATRICIA A.
