4.4 Software Maintenance Agreement Linear Systems is offering Santa Ana Police Department a specialized software maintenance agreement for the DIMS® software. This agreement covers no charge software fixes and version upgrades for the lifetime of the DIMS® software product. This agreement does not cover new DIMS® modules that are designed for different applications, such as in -car video or audio from digital pocket recorders. These new modules will be offered to Santa Ana Police Department at a discount of fiftj percent (50%) from the standard retail price. In addition, this agreement does not include new DIMS camera modules for different camera models or additional licenses for additional cameras. These will be provided at no charge with the purchase of new digital cameras from Linear Systems or at an additional cost if the cameras are purchased elsewhere. See: 2.22 Support See: 4.4 Digital Evidence Management Proposer Support Profile See: 4.4 Warranty 4.4 Emergency Service Plan Linear realizes that the Linear Digital Asset Management Solution is a "mission critical system" and any downtime has the potential to cause irreparable damage to Santa Ana Police Department's operation and/or reputation. Linear has designed the Digital Lab Solution to have multiple, alternative methods of operation by utilizing double -redundant systems and having spares located on-site. Linear Systems will prepare an Emergency Service Plan for the Santa Ana Police Department to be implemented in the case of any hardware or software failure. This is in addition to telephone and on-site service to be provided by Linear Systems. 4.4 Training Defmition and Limits Linear Systems will provide the highest quality training for Santa Ana Police Department. Upon award of Contract, Linear will prepare a document outlining proposed training definitions and limits. Limits for on- site training will need to be considered since Linear cannot control every aspect of on-site training including available time, available key personnel, retention, and other issues. The following training will be included at a minimum and additional training will be added based on final configuration of the solution.
