<br />4. The Contractor shall remove all temporary traffic control devices and return those <br />devices owned by the City to location specified by the City after the signal is back in <br />operation. <br /> <br />E. City shall pay for such repairs required beyond the scope of routine maintenance as follows: <br /> <br />I. Materials: The City shall pay the Contractor for materials used in extraordinary <br />maintenance, the Contractor's cost from the supplier plus the percentage specified in the <br />Contractor's bid proposal. All materials and parts shall be new or have the approval of <br />the Traffic Engineer. <br /> <br />The Contractor shall use only the rigid galvanized steel conduits and polymer concrete <br />reinforced with heavy-weave fiberglass pull boxes unless specified otherwise by the <br />Traffic Engineer. <br /> <br />The City has the right to inspect the Contractor's records to verify any material costs used <br />in extraordinary maintenance. <br /> <br />2. Direct Labor: The Contractor shall present with his monthly .invoice a record of hours <br />spent in extraordinary maintenance of traffic signals and appurtenances per intersection. <br />City shall pay the Contractor for such hours of extraordinary maintenance at the rates <br />specified on the Contractor's bid proposal. Said hourly rates shall be the total cost to <br />City. Rates shall include all compensation for wages, profit, overhead, any fringe <br />benefits such as employer payments to, or on behalf of, work for health and welfare, <br />insurance, worker's compensation, pension, vacation, sick leave or any local, state, <br />federal, or union tax or assessment. <br /> <br />3. Equipment: City shall pay the Contractor for equipment used in extraordinary <br />maintenance on a job-trip basis rate as specified in the Contractor's bid proposal. <br /> <br />The Contractor's job-trip equipment rates shall constitute the rates to be paid by the City <br />when the specified equipment is used for the extraordinary maintenance. As used herein, <br />job-trip shall mean the furnishing of the required equipment at the site of extraordinary <br />maintenance work for the duration of the work. No additional compensation shall be <br />paid for transporting equipment to or from the job site. <br /> <br />2.01.05 Tvpes of Sil!nals <br /> <br />The bid prices for both the routine and extraordinary maintenance shall apply to all types of <br />signal controllers, video imaging detection systems, illuminated street name signs (ISNS), <br />reflectorized street name signs (RSNS), accessories and systems as may exist in the City now or <br />that may be installed during the life ofthe Contract. <br /> <br />2.02 ATMS EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE <br /> <br />2.02.01 Scope of Work <br /> <br />Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) includes the Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), <br />Changeable Message Sign (CMS), Trailblazer Signs (TBS), Highway Advisory Radio (HAR), <br />Tl communication system, and fiber optic communication system. <br /> <br />The Contractor shall furnish all tools, equipment, apparatus, facilities, labor, services and <br />materials to perform all work necessary to maintain ATMS equipment and facilities, and trouble <br /> <br />5 <br />
