<br />Contractor shalI notify the Traffic Engineer 24 hours in advance as when and where routine <br />maintenance will take place. <br /> <br />Routine inspection and service shalI include the following activities: <br /> <br />I. Wipe lens as directed by manufacturer. <br />2. Check system operation at CCTV Cabinet. <br />3. Clean and vacuum the CCTV Cabinet. <br />4. Clean the camera housing and glass. <br />5. Replace the cabinet filter quarterly and mark the instalIation date on the top. <br />7. Check camera housing's pressure. Recharge the pressure minimum once a year and as <br />often as necessary per manufacturer's procedure. <br />8. Remove equipment, when necessary during inspection and instalI standby equipment if <br />available. <br />9. Lubrication of gears and adjust looseness of chains per manufacturer's operation <br />procedure. <br />10. The Contractor shalI maintain a record log in each control cabinet. <br />I I. Pan camera to face the north at the end of routine inspection and service. <br /> <br />2.02.07 ChaDeeable Messaee SleD (CMS) <br /> <br />A. General <br /> <br />Two-line changeable message signs are LEDSTAR Model SR55-CMSI7, manufactured by <br />Ledstar, Inc., 315 Flint Road, Downsview Ontario M3J 2J2, tel. (416) 663-8500. Each two-line <br />Changeable Message Sign site includes the sign mounted on pole at approximately 17 feet above <br />ground cantilever into traffic lane and the CMS Control Cabinet with the Ledstar LM-21 <br />controller, and the ControlIer Interface Assembly (CIA). <br /> <br />B. Routine Maintenance <br /> <br />Routine maintenance at each CMS or TBS site shall be conducted once every three months. The <br />Contractor shalI inspect and service ail CMS during January, April, July, and October. The <br />Contractor shalI notify the Traffic Engineer 24 hours in advance as when and where routine <br />maintenance wilI take place. <br /> <br />Routine inspection shalI include the folIowing activities: <br /> <br />I. Check system operation at Control Cabinet. <br />2. Coordinate with the City to test remote control functions. <br />3. Clean and vacuum Control Cabinet. <br />4. Replace the filters in the cabinet and in the matrix area quarterly and mark the instalIation <br />date on the top. <br />5. Remove equipment, when necessary during inspection and instalI standby equipment if <br />available. <br />6. Inspect Exhaust Fan. <br />7. Inspect Ledstar Pixels. <br />8. Clean Lexan Doors. <br />9. The Contractor shall maintain a record log in each control cabinet. <br />10. Put message number one on the sign at the end of routine maintenance. Contact City for <br />verification of communication and sign message at the Santa Ana Traffic Management <br />Center. <br /> <br />7 <br />
