<br />" <br /> <br />2.02.08 Hig:hwav Advisory Radio (HAR) <br /> <br />A. General <br /> <br />Highway Advisory Radio Transmitters are manufachrred by fuformation Station Specialists, <br />Zeeland, MI 49464, Tel. (616) 772-2300 <br /> <br />B. Routine Maintenance <br /> <br />The Contractor shall maintain HAR transmitters once every three months. The Contractor shall <br />inspect and service HAR during January, April, July, and October. The Contractor shall notifY <br />the Traffic Engineer 24 hours in advance as when the routine maintenance will take place. <br />Routine maintenance activities shall include the following: . <br /> <br />I. Check system operation at control cabinet. <br />2. Clean and vacuum control cabinet <br />3. Replace batteries with Alkaline CC cells annually and when necessary. <br />4. The Contractor shall maintain a record log in the control cabinet pursuant to Section <br />2.05A. <br />5. Replace the cabinet filter quarterly and mark the installation date on the top. <br /> <br />The Contractor shall document performance of each transmitter using a Field futensity Meter and <br />an Audible Test once a year. The Contractor shall report to the City the results of the test. <br /> <br />2.02.09 Extraordinary Maintenance and Pavment <br /> <br />All extraordinary maintenance shall be conducted only when authorized by the Traffic Engineer. <br />The Contractor shall promptly notify City of any damage to the ATMS equipment. City reserves <br />the right to defer any extraordinary maintenance to the next regularly scheduled routine <br />maintenance interval. <br /> <br />The Contractor shall troubleshoot and repair CCTV, CMS, TBS, VIDS, fiber optic <br />communication system, and any other A TMS related equipment as authorized by the City and as <br />required to maintain operable communication systems. The Contractor shall furnish all necessary <br />tools and test equipment and no additional compensation will be allowed. <br /> <br />The provisions of Section 2.06 shall apply to payment for extraordinary maintenance activities <br />required beyond the scope of routine maintenance for all items addressed in Section 4 of these <br />provIsIOns. <br /> <br />2.03 STREET LIGHT SYSTEM MAINTENANCE <br /> <br />2.03.01 Scope Of Work <br /> <br />Contractor shall furnish all tools, equipment, apparatus, facilities, labor, services and materials, <br />and perform all work necessary to maintain street lighting facilities in a good and professional <br />manner in accordance with the specifications contained herein. All said labor, services, <br />materials, and equipment shall be furnished and said work performed and completed by the <br />Contractor as an independent contractor, subiect to the inspection and approval of the City's <br />Executive Director of Public Works Agency, or inspectors or their representatives. <br /> <br />2.03.02 Service Personnel <br /> <br />8 <br />
