<br />The Contractor shall provide qualified service personnel to maintain and to service all series <br />street lights and equipment described in Section 3. Work on the City's series street lighting <br />circuits shall be supervised and performed by a lead street light technician with a minimum of <br />five (5) years experience as a high voltage technician. The technician shall troubleshoot, <br />diagnose and perform all electrical connections. <br /> <br />The Contractor shall include series street lighting maintenance personnel's qualifications in the <br />bid. During the term of the contract the City will notifY the Contractor, in the City's sole <br />opinion, if personnel proposed for any series high voltage maintenance are not qualified to work <br />on these systems. Within thirty (30) days after the City makes the determination the Contractor <br />shall hire qualified Sub-Contractor(s) specialized in series high voltage equipment <br />troubleshooting and repair to handle both routine and extraordinary maintenance without any <br />additional compensation from the City. <br /> <br />2.03.03 List of Street Lil!htinl! Systems <br /> <br />For the purpose of this maintenance contract, the City of Santa Ana series street light inventory is <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Number of Lamps <br />369 <br />6 <br /> <br />Description <br />2500 Lumen Incandescent <br /> <br />6000 Lumen Incandescent <br /> <br />See Appendix "c" for Street Light Map <br /> <br />2.03.04 Modifications to System <br /> <br />Contractor shall maintain additional or fewer street lights and appurtenant devices as they are <br />installed or become a part of the maintenance requirements of the City, at the bid unit price. In <br />the event that notification is made of a new installation at other than the beginning of a monthly <br />period, the unit cost of routine maintenance will be prorated from the day the Contractor is <br />notified. <br /> <br />2.03.05 Routine Maintenance <br /> <br />A. Monthly Inspection and Reporting <br />I. Contractor shall perform a monthly drive by inspection by the end of the first week of the <br />month and do necessary repairs of all series street lights within 24 hours of the night <br />drive. A map report to the Enterprise Management Section on the results of the <br />inspection shall be submitted the following day. The inspection shall be conducted <br />during night time hours. <br /> <br />2. Contractor shall clean the cabinet and test all disconnect and by-pass switches for series <br />lighting once every month and provide a report to the Enterprise Management Section on <br />the results of the inspection. Contractor shall maintain a record log at each disconnect <br />and bypass switch cabinet showing initials of service technician, date and time of service. <br /> <br />3. Contractor shall perform a monthly drive by inspection of all City-owned multiple street <br />lights and safety lights by the end of the first week of the month and provide a map report <br /> <br />9 <br />
