Page 3 of 24 <br />I. WATER COST REPORT <br />Contractor shall submit a estimated applied water cost report (EAW) prior to the first day of each <br />month. City will pay for water used by Contractor pursuant to this agreement up to the amount <br />specified in the EAW. In the event the amount of water applied excess the EAW then the Contractor <br />shall pay the excess water cost. <br />II. GROUNDS/LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE SPECIFICATIONS <br />0 <br />"Director" shall mean the Executive Director of Parks, Recreation & Community Services or <br />designated representative. <br />2. "Pruning" shall mean the practice of removing lateral shrub or tree branches and may also be <br />referred to as "trimming." <br />3. "Weed" shalt mean any undesirable or misplaced plant. <br />B. SCOPE OF WORK <br />The Contractor shall provide all labor, training, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, hauling, <br />dumping, fertilizers, pesticides, chemicals and other items needed to perform pursuant to the terms <br />defined herein. The Contractor shall provide all grounds/landscape maintenance at work sites listed <br />in Attachment 1, including, but not limited to pruning/trimming, shaping and training of trees, shrubs, <br />and ground cover plants, removing and controlling weeds, controlling plant diseases and pests; <br />mowing turf, edging turf and ground cover; irrigating plant material; maintaining and repairing <br />irrigation systems; removing trash and debris; ball diamond maintenance; tot -lot maintenance; and, <br />other maintenance required to maintain the work sites in a safe, attractive and useable condition. <br />The Contractor shall maintain all plant material in a condition of horticulturally accepted standards for <br />growth, color, and appearance as determined by the Director. <br />Scheduling of Work <br />a) The Contractor shall provide a schedule of "routine work" to be followed in the <br />performance of this contract. Any changes in scheduling shall subject to the approval of <br />the Director. <br />b) The Contractor provide a schedule of renovations, pruning/trimming and other infrequent <br />operations. Any changes in scheduling shall be reported in writing and subject to the <br />approval of the Director. <br />c) The Contractor shall provide landscape maintenance between the hours of 6:00 a.m. <br />and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Sunday. The schedule may be modified only with the <br />Director's consent. Landscape maintenance that generates excess noise cannot begin <br />before 8:00 a.m. <br />
