Work Force <br />a) Contractor's supervisory personnel (Supervisors) shall have a minimum of five years <br />experience in Ornamental Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Irrigation Technology or <br />related science. Supervisors shall also possess landscape/grounds management skills <br />required to implement modern methods and newly developed horticultural and <br />arboriculture procedures and/or practices. Supervisors shall accompany the Director on <br />weekly inspection tours of the contract sites. During the tour the Supervisor shall <br />indicate the work completed the previous week, any changes that were made or are <br />being contemplated and the work scheduled for the upcoming week and month. <br />b) The Contractor shall provide Irrigation Specialists who possess, at minimum, a <br />Certificate in "Ornamental Horticulture Certificate of Proficiency Specialization in <br />Landscape Irrigation" to perform all irrigation checks and to provide direct supervision of <br />repairs and/or, modifications to the irrigation system as further specified in Attachment 5. <br />c) The Contractor shall insure that all staff has a minimum of two years of landscape <br />maintenance experience. <br />d) Director may require Contractor to remove any employee from park property. <br />3. Material Safety Data Sheets <br />a) Contractor shall inform the Director as to all materials and/or chemicals that will be used <br />in performance of this agreement including Material Safety Data Sheets with chemical <br />analysis if applicable, manufacturer recommendations and data that may be pertinent. <br />b) The materials and chemicals described herein shall comply with the following standards: <br />(1) All fertilizers shall be complete, with the required percentage of nitrogen, <br />phosphoric acid and potash to keep lawns, trees, shrubs and other plants in a <br />healthy and vigorous growing condition. <br />(2) Pesticides including but not limited to: insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, and <br />rodenticides shall be of the best quality obtainable and available on the market, <br />properly labeled with guaranteed analysis, and brought to the job site in the <br />manufacturer's original container. <br />(3) Tree stakes, tree ties and guy wires shall be of materials matching those existing <br />at the work site or as specified by the Director. <br />4. Recycling <br />All organic waste (including leaves, grass clippings, brush, branches, and tree parts) shall be <br />disposed of pursuant to the requirements of the Santa Ana Municipal Code Chapter 16. <br />Organic waste shall not be taken to a landfill. Every month, the Contractor shall submit a <br />written report including receipts from licensed compositors/green waste recycling facilities, to <br />the Director listing the quantities of organic waste recycled and the names and addresses of the <br />composting or processing companies. <br />
