SANTA ANA. CALlFORNIA- FIRE DEPARTMENT

REMOTE AccESS ,. PROPOSAL

1.4. R4_GPS'" Global Positioning System Interface

R4_GPS ,. provides an in-vehicle view of the location of the unit in relationship to the
incident location. During a response, the user chooses to either display the current
location of the vehicle and direction to the incident, the location of the incident with an
area around it and direction to the vehicle, or both the vehicle and incident together.

1.5. R4_PicrOMETRY '" Oblique Aerial Imagery Interface

R4_PicrOMETRY'" is an interface between REMOTE AcCESS '" and Pictometry's@ Electronic
Field System (EFS@). This capability enables quick access to the Pictometry image
library when an address search is completed in REMOTE ACCESS '" by passing the
latitude/longitude coordinates from REMOTE ACCESS '" to EFS@. Group 1 will provide the
requested number of licenses of the R4_PicrOMETRY'. interface software and authorize
the Department to install and configure on compatible computers. The licensing and
configuration of EFS@ to support the interface must be coordinated with Pictometry@ and
any services or fees associated with configuring the EFS@ component is not included in
this proposal. Group 1 does provide technical support to assist the Department and
Pictometry@ in ensuring that the interface is operational.

1.6. R4_RMS'" Records Management Interface

Via R4_RMS'", an association between the premise records in REMOTEAcCESS'" and the
Department's Records Management System (RMS) is formed through the creation of
data mapping between the two sets of records. This relationship allows REMOTE ACCESS '"
to populate the premise records with the corresponding data that was originally entered
into the RMS.

1.7. R4_F1J.NoTE5'" Incident Command Interface - EXCLUSIVE

Group 1 will add a FIT-Notes activation button to the REMOTE AccESs '" main map view
form to initiate the creation of interface files containing incident location information
needed in FIT-Notes. (Note: Fit-Notes is the only Incident Command and
Personnel Accountability system to which REMOTE ACCESS '" is interfaced). When an
address/location has been searched on the REMOTE ACCESS '" map the user can press the
FIT-Notes button, which will create an .xml interface file used to populate the incident in
Fit Notes. The file will contain either:
Detailed company information for locations that have a company record in the
Remote Access database, or,
Address, Date and Time information for locations that don't have a company
record in the Remote Access database.

Although not included in the proposal, future planned functionality includes sending
specific pre-plan and image file names through the interface so the FIT-Notes system
can access the drawing and photo resources stored in REMOTE AccESS '".

,,~,GROUP 1 SOLUTIONS, INC, @
