Class Two 16 hours <br />Section One - Knowledge, Operations, and Procedures <br />1. Driver policy and procedure manual dissemination and discussion. <br />2. Day of change over procedure and planning <br />4. Review of all downtown Santa Ana destinations and access points including courts and <br />government buildings. <br />5. Discussion of "Day of Walk Through Issues" to include unauthorized taxi visitors and <br />bandit operations. <br />6. Driver requirements for clean vehicles, driver uniforms, and posted identification. <br />7. Stand replenishment procedures <br />8. Any additional concerns by Carolyn Fullerton or questions posed by drivers. <br />Section Two - Service Excellence <br />Drivers will complete certification of Driver Academy to include service related videos <br />and discussions. <br />2. General Manager will present class on service procedures unique to The Depot. <br />These include: <br />- Professional attitude and safe driving refresher <br />- Assisting passengers with luggage and entry into vehicles <br />- Availability of change for passengers <br />- Understanding of 100% service excellence guarantee <br />- Proper greeting of passengers <br />- Emergency procedures <br />- Quoting fares per OCTAP regulations <br />3. Additional items of discussion as solicited from Carolyn Fullerton <br />Class Three 8 hours <br />4 hours - Driver defensive driving review - Utilizing aspects of defensive driving from <br />the National Safety Council and Smith Defensive Driving <br />2. 4 hours - Safety issues including drug and alcohol (DOT NIDA) testing, driver fatigue, <br />rail and bus transportation issues, para transit concerns, and terrorist threat identification. <br />Items included obtained from Federal Transportation Administration (FTA) and Depart <br />ment of Transporation (DOT). <br />32 Hours of training is required for drivers to achieve The Depot level of certification. All <br />primary and backup drivers will be required to participate and earn their completion decal. <br />Upon completion of the integration meetings, drivers will be able to display their certifica- <br />tion for service as a The Depot driver. Certification is through the use of a transferable <br />
