Testing fo Drug and Alcohol <br />A blood test, urinalysis, or other drug/alcohol screening is required: <br />1. Of any applicant to whom a conditional lease offer has been made. <br />2. Of any employee or leasee where there is reasonable suspicion that he or she may be using im- <br />paired by, or under the influence of drugs or alcohol. "Reasonable Suspicion" includes any injury or <br />accident at work where there is reason to believe that employee or leasee impairment may have been <br />a factor. <br />3. In accordance with governmental regulations or requirements, or the requirements of any of the <br />Company's clients. <br />Employees or leasees who refuse to submit to a drug/alcohol testing will be terminated where <br />there is reason to believe that the employee or leasee has violated this Policy and the <br />employee's or leasee's refusal to consent to a test has prevented a medical determination of <br />his or her condition. <br />Searches <br />A search of an employee or lessee and his or her personal property may be conducted when there is a <br />reasonable suspicion that the employee or leasee has violated this Policy. The items which may be <br />searched in addition to the individual employee include vehicles, desks, lockers, computer discs and <br />storage areas, purses, backpacks, and any other time on Company property where materials related to <br />suspected drug or alcohol use may be located. If employees or lessees do not wish such items to be <br />subjected to possible search, the items should not be brought onto A Taxi Cab premises. The em- <br />ployee or leasee's refusal to cooperate with request to search may result in termination or termination <br />of lease. <br />Random Drur Testier <br />A White and Yellow Cab Inc. participates in a random drug testing program as mandated by the <br />California PUC, State, and Federal Laws.
