A blood test, urinalysis, or other druglalcohol screening is required: <br />1, Of any applicant to whom a conditional lease offer has been made. <br />2. Of any employee or leasee where there is reasonable suspicion that he or she may be using <br />impaired by, or under the influence of drugs or alcohol. "Reasonable Suspicion" includes any <br />injury or accident at work where there is reason to believe that employee or leasee <br />impairment may have been a factor. <br />3. In accordance with governmental regulations or requirements, or the requirements of any <br />of the Company's clients. <br />Employees or leasees who refuse to submit to a drug/alcohol testing will be <br />terminated where there is reason to believe that the employee or leases has violated <br />this Policy and the employee's or lessee's refusal to consent to a test has prevented a <br />medical determination of Iris or her condition. <br />Searches <br />A search of an employee or leasee and his or her personal property may be conducted when <br />there is a reasonable suspicion that the employee or ieasee has violated this Policy. The items <br />which may be searched in addition to the individual employee include vehicles, desks, <br />lockers, computer discs and storage areas, purses, backpacks, and any other time on Company <br />property where materials related to suspected drug or alcohol use may be located. If <br />employees or leasees do not wish such items to be subjected to possible search, the items <br />should not be brought onto A Tarsi Cab premises. The employee or leasee's refusal to <br />cooperate with request to search may result in termination or termination of lease. <br />Random Drug Testing <br />A Taxi Cab will participate in a random drug testing program as mandated by the California <br />PUC, State, and Federal Laws. All drivers will be subject to random testing. <br />Norton Medical <br />Summary <br />The provisions of this Policy shall apply in addition to, and shall be subordinated to, any <br />requirements imposed by applicable federal, state or local laws, regulations, or judicial <br />decision. A Taxi Cab shall cooperate fully with law enforcement official's investigation in <br />violations of federal, state or local law <br />Drugs and alcohol abuse are the scourge of modern times. Over fifty percent (S0%) of <br />all traffic accidents are drug and alcohol related. <br />A Taxi Cab recognizes our public safety responsibility inherent in transporting the <br />public. Likewise we recognize the prevalence, almost epidemic proportions, of drug <br />and alcohol abuse in our society. Therefore A Taxi Cab has a zero tolerance policy <br />toward alcohol and drug abuse. <br />All drivers at A Taxi Cab are subject to drug and alcohol screening. You will be <br />given a drug and alcohol screen sometime near the beginning of your tenure with us. <br />
