With all due respect to the currena et r we observed the following facts present upon
detailed observation.
Vehicles
The vehicles curre operation are not uniform. Taxi vehicles ' peration are painted
two different shades of y>Arec ar ye<insid s yellow. I also noticed that
one vehicl e was missing vehind phone numbers are not uni-
form. Coast Yellow Cab Cab of North Orange County
marking schemes are inte ID numbers also varies between
the two. The reason for tly th of North Orange County bought
out Coast Yellow Cab an its "cles since November of
` 111
Taxi Drivers
We believe tha t drivers should alwa s i ormed for The Depo . e current contract also
requires this. It adds a mph -Iri' ier level of professionalism.
Observations Conclusion
Color photos of the taxi staging area taken on 7 tti'2005 have been provided for the
purpose of identifying aspects of the pro which A d Yellow Cab Inc. will
improve upon. See Attachme
III. Responsive Action to Correct Identified Items I Issues
- A need for courtesy Phone service
We have prepared an order for three courtesy phones to be placed at The Depot. This will
make two call stations passengers can utilize. Two phone units are standard vandal resistant
courtesy phones. One is an ADA type courtesy phone that will be set at a height accessible
to wheelchair assisted customers. The ADA phone also features a red light indicator to show
connection to the hearing impaired and features a push button dialer and speaker for mobil-
ity impairments. Braille will also be placed at both stations. See Attachment 2.
Placements of the phones will be reviewed with Carolyn Fullerton to be most accessible.
Possible choices are the regular courtesy phone being placed on the interior of the facility
next to the current rent a car courtesy phone and the ADA phone placed underneath. The
exterior courtesy phone would be placed on the support pillar next to the taxi stand sign.
