the PASSER II-87 model. Training was also provided in the use and operation of the VMS-330 <br />system master. Continuing assistance is provided for system operations as questions arise. <br />City of Fountain Valley, Traffic Signal Central Master System - design of VMS 220 central <br />master facilities, 16 local intersection upgrades and hardwire interconnect along two major <br />arterials. The work also included installations and upgrades in the City of Huntington Beach, <br />requiring project coordination between the cities. A major component of the project was <br />investigation and evaluation of alternative methods of communication between the City of <br />Fountain Valley's central master and a future central master in the City of Huntington Beach. <br />Cable television and direct hardwire communications were explored. Additionally, the feasibility <br />and methods of installing remote display terminals and wall map was evaluated. <br />City of Dana Point - City's existing suggested route to schools (SRTS) plans for two <br />elementary schools were reviewed and updated and new SRTS plans for two private schools <br />were developed. The school area signs and pavement markings were inventoried. Pedestrian <br />and bicycle accident data were reviewed for the area near the schools. A report summarizing <br />the SRTS plan updates and recommended improvements was prepared. <br />OCEMA, Interagency Traffic Signal Interconnect System - prepared plans, specifications, <br />and cost estimates for 16 miles of traffic signal interconnect facilities along Irvine Center Drive, <br />Moulton Parkway, Lake Forest Drive and Street of the Golden Lantern. The plans included new <br />conduit installation, installing new interconnect cable through new and existing conduit, splice <br />points and boxes, and signal controller upgrades. The project involved numerous public <br />agencies including the Cities of Irvine, Laguna Niguel and Dana Point, and the County of <br />Orange. <br />City of Lake Forest (199711998), HES Traffic Signal Improvements - preparation of plans, <br />specifications, and cost estimates for various HES traffic signal improvements throughout the <br />City of Lake Forest. Traffic signal modifications at the intersection of Lake Forest Drive and <br />Serrano Road include left-tum phasing for Lake Forest Drive and equipment upgrade for the <br />entire intersection. At the intersection of Muirlands Boulevard and Dylan Avenue/Shopping <br />Center entrance included installation of a new signal with left -turn phasing for Muirlands <br />Boulevard. Additionally, Willdan's design included plans for the reconstruction of the shopping <br />center driveway to reduce the slope and to provide curb returns. The project also includes the <br />installation of interconnect to the Ridge Route controller. <br />Beach Boulevard Superstreet Project, 405 Freeway to Ellis Avenue - preparation of plans, <br />specifications, and cost estimates for traffic signals, signing, striping, interconnect, and street <br />lighting as part of a countywide project to improve traffic flow on Beach Boulevard. The plans, <br />prepared to Caltrans' standards and specifications, were reviewed by Caltrans District 12, City <br />of Huntington Beach and the Orange County Transportation Authority. <br />Beach Boulevard Superstreet Project, Route 91 to Lincoln Boulevard - preparation of <br />plans, specifications, and cost estimates for traffic signal modifications, pavement delineation, <br />signing, stage construction, and lighting plans as part of a countywide project to improve traffic <br />flow on Beach Boulevard. The work included coordination with the Orange County <br />Transportation Authority, Caltrans, the Cities of Anaheim and Buena Park for all design stages <br />in addition to evaluation and revision of existing signing conditions. <br />State Route 91 HOV Project - preparation of the traffic management plan (TMP) for the <br />preparation of design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for traffic signals, roadway <br />
