<br />Th~ Santa Ana Workforc~ Investment Bo:urd/Youth Council <br />The Youth Service Provider Network lRFP 2005/2006 <br />Orange Count)' Children's Tberapeutiie Arts Center <br /> <br />MaiJII Purpose of Program <br />W'ha1 is the organization's Mission Statement? <br />The Orange County Children's Therapeutic Arts Center (OCTAl':,') utilizes the arts as a vehicle to heal <br />and empower at-risk youth and children with special needs from culturally diverse backgrounds of <br />limited resources. OCC1' AC provides youth with access to the w.rts, literacy and technology training to <br />enhamce their self-esteem, accelerate student learning, building jL"adership skills, and divert youth from <br />negar:ive activity and influences to positive experiences that can nring about positive changes in their <br />life, <!lIld further their education and training. <br /> <br />lndieate what"V\'ill the program accomplish, <br />OCC1'AC participants will learn artistic, technology, literacy anld mentoring skills that will help them <br />acquru-ejob skills. Most importantly, this program will empowe::- youth by enhancing their self-esteem, <br />teact responsibility, leadership, and accelerate their learning skiills. <br /> <br />\Vha; is the length of the program?
