<br />Should there be any intentional violation by the City of the Part Time Civil Service hour <br />limits as shown in Section 3.2 above that equal two (2) in a six (6) month period, or three <br />(3) in a twelve (12) month period, then the City will be obligated to immediately <br />compensate the employee by paying the full cost up to the amount paid on behalf of a full <br />time employee of the employee-only medical insurance premiums from that date forward. <br />Failure to comply with this provision is subject to the grievance procedure. For purposes <br />of this Section only, the total number of hours worked shall be exclusive of vacation, sick <br />leave, or holiday time. <br /> <br />3.3 Number ofEmplovees. The number of Part Time Civil Service positions during the term <br />of this Agreement shall not exceed: <br /> <br />o Fifteen (15) in the Library Department <br /> <br />o Ten (10) in the Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department <br /> <br />o Twelve (12) in all other departments <br /> <br />Should an adjustment to these numbers be requested by either party during the term of <br />this Agreement, the parties agree to meet and confer regarding this matter. <br /> <br />3.4 Hourlv Conversion. Whenever reference is made to a required number of days, months, <br />or years for Full Time Civil Service employees in this Article, an equivalent number of <br />hours shall be substituted to satisfy an equivalent requirement for Part Time Civil Service <br />employees as defined in Section 3.2 of this Agreement. <br /> <br />ARTICLE IV <br /> <br />4.0 SALARIES <br /> <br />4.1 Basic Compensation Plan. There is hereby established a basic compensation plan for all <br />Part Time Civil Service personnel who are now employed or will in the future be <br />employed in any of the designated classifications of employment represented by the <br />Union as listed in this Agreement and its attachments. <br /> <br />4.2 SalarY Schedule. The basic salary schedule is attached hereto in a matrix format as <br />Exhibit "A," which is included in the Full Time SEW MOU and made a part hereof as <br />though set forth in full herein. Such salary schedule provides numerous salary rate <br />ranges, each comprised of six (6) steps or rates of pay. <br /> <br />The respective rate ranges are identified by a three digit number. The steps within each <br />range are identified by the letters "AA" through "E" inclusive, with Step "AA" being the <br />lowest step in the range. For Part Time Civil Service employees, the purpose of each step <br />and length of service required for advancement to the next step within a particular salary <br />rate range is summarized as follows: <br /> <br />AA Step <br />A Step <br />B Step <br /> <br />- Normal beginning pay rate. <br />- After 1040 hours in next lower step. <br />- After 2080 hours in next lower step. <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />Also optional hiring rate. <br />Also optional hiring rate. <br />
