If the SAMA employee cannot take their <br />holiday off before or after the regular scheduled holiday off the <br />employee will bank eight hours of holiday leave to be used at <br />a later date with the supervisor's approval. <br />4. Jurv Dutv Leave. The provisions of the Memorandum of <br />Understanding shall continue to apply; however, if an employee is <br />called to serve on jury duty during a normal Friday off, Saturday, or <br />Sunday, or on a City holiday, then the jury duty shall be considered <br />the same as having occurred during the employee's day off work. <br />4.3 It is the intent of the parties that no additional paid time off shall be gained or lost <br />as a result of implementing any alternate work schedules. The City reserves the <br />right to abandon any work schedule if, in the opinion of the concerned Executive <br />Director and the City Manager, such alternate work schedules have not produced <br />the desired results. If this right is exercised, however, the City and SAMA shall <br />meet and confer in good faith prior to abandoning any alternate work schedule. <br /> <br />-10- <br />
