<br />for such holiday during the month in which it occurs. <br />An employee separating from the service of the City must actually work at least one <br />(1) day following the day a holiday listed in Section 8.1, supra, actually occurs in <br />order to receive compensation for the holiday. <br />A newly appointed employee must complete six (6) months of continuous full-time <br />service in order to receive credit for the Floating Holiday listed in Section 8.1 above. <br />8.4 Holiday time off may be only be taken in increments of eight (8) hours. Employees <br />assigned to the 4/10 must use their holidays in ten (10) hour increments. Effective <br />with the date of approval ofthis Memorandum of Understanding by the City Council, <br />employees assigned to a 9/80 work schedule must use their holidays in nine (9) <br />hour increments as described in Subsection 4.2 (B)(3)(a) supra. <br />8.5 Holiday benefits may not be carried over from one (1) calendar year to the next. <br /> <br />-32- <br />
