Large Area Pulse Solar Simulator Technology Update Project <br />Project: <br />Shell Solar, Inc. is the Solar Power branch of Shell Industries, a Global Leader in the Energy Industry. The Large <br />Area Pulse Solar Simulator is the main Solar Module testing device, used to measure Current/Voltage curves for <br />quality control purposes. Shell commissioned an Analysis project to assess the feasibility for a technological <br />update of their testing facility, as well as its integration into the Corporate Information Systems. <br />Responsibilities: <br />• Identified the current problems experienced by the legacy testing system, especially in the areas of data <br />reliability and technological obsolescence. <br />• Defined the proposed solution using a modem computer, current 1/0 devices (Digital Relay controls and <br />GPIB interfaces to control a Digital Oscilloscope and an Arbitrary Waveform Generator), and a re- written <br />.NET -based Software Solution. <br />• Defined the proposed data storage and communication server. <br />• Created a Project Plan for the development of the proposed solution, and a Migration plan for its <br />implementation. <br />December 2000, December 2001 - February 2002, September 2002 - June 2004 <br />Developer for the Guess? Jeans Market Order Entry Project <br />Project: <br />Guess? Jeans is a prestigious casual ware brand. The "MOE" application allows a sales representative to have <br />current information about production stock during a marketplace event and to place firm orders for the various <br />products offered for the season. <br />Responsibilities: <br />• For the first time since the project launched, the Market Order Entry tool has received wide acceptance <br />among the user community and is used throughout the Market sales process by all sales <br />representatives. <br />• Architecture, Web Application Design for previous versions.
