Page 32, Item a — remove the following language: graffiti eradication/over painting of bleachers, backboards, fencing, signs, etc. - Page 33, Item 12-c — change to read as follows: Once a week the Contractor shall top dress unleveled areas of the sport turf playing areas using #20 Silica Sand or approved product. Apply with an approved top dressing machine that will achieve a level playing surface. Page 33, Item 14-a — change to read as follows: All trash and debris on the ground or in trash receptacles shall be removed from all worksites each day, Monday through Sunday, between 6:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Page 34, Item 16 — Special Maintenance, insert the following as Items b through f: b) Jerome Park — Center Street, between the existing posts shall be the contractor's responsibility to maintain. Also, Center Street parking lot between McFadden Avenue and the posts to the south are the Contractor's responsibility. c) Centennial Park — The fire training facility landscaping is a part of this agreement. The area of landscaping immediately south of the drive entrance off Fairview Street is also part of this agreement. The landscaping immediately adjacent to the school parking structure shall not be a part of this agreement. d) Cabrillo Tennis Center — The vacant lot to the south is the Contractor's responsibility. e) Fisher Park — fire pits shall be cleaned by the Contractor daily. f) Santiago Park Lawn Bowling Greens — Contractor shall be required to mow both greens three times per week using a real mower provided by the City. Page 35 — insert the following language as Section IV Reduction or Addition To Scope of Work: Any additions or reductions to the Contractor's scope of services shall be negotiated by the City of Santa Ana. The followine were issues raised durine the ore -proposal conference and addressed by City staff Page 11— Specialized Services: City staff clarified that Failure to Perform costs will be based on the hourly wage rate specified by the contractor in this area. Amount will be deducted from monthly invoice. In addition, a penalty up to $300 will be assessed when inspections conducted show apparent Failure to Perform. What amount, on the average, has City withheld from contractors in the past for failure to perform? Do not have specific dollar amount at this time. It is assumed that the contractor chosen will perform high quality work and will possess the resources to meet the minimum specifications. Does the Parks, Recreation & Community Services Agency have the capacity to push through a bid that isn't the lowest? Yes. The Parks and Recreation Agency has selected the RFP process, as opposed to a bid, as the procurement tool to select the landscape contractors. ---
