6. All buses must park in assigned bus bays. No other bus companies can use the Depot bus bays K. Use of Public Address System (P.A.) The P.A. System is available for use by officers, if required. Always use the P.A. in a professional and dignified manner. L. Breaks 1. Each shift is allocated two (2) ten - minute breaks. This time is for eating, using the facilities and personal business. However, the security officer is still on duty and must respond to all calls. The only designated resting area is in the security room. S/O may use the Cafe Express but may not loiter there. 2. Post Commander will determine when breaks will be taken. M. Pertinent Information 1. High Visibility 2. Constant visible patrol is required. 3. Security Officers are to be primarily outside of the building. Hourly patrols of the interior of building are required. 4. When two officers are on duty, they should never be together unless a situation calls for it. SHIFT OUTLINE A. Day Shift 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Parking Lots A and B and Parking Structure 1. On first TOCO round, check all vehicles for break -ins, etc. & report findings in D.A.R. 2. A constant visible patrol required. 3. Assist the traveling public with directions and information. 4. Remove undesirable individuals. 5. Parking lots TOCO patrol every hour and Parking Structure every hour. 6. On last TOCO round, check all vehicles for break -ins, etc. & report findings in D.A.R. 7. Be prepared to pass along important information to next shift. B. Swing Shift 4:00 pm to 12:00 midnight Parking Structure and Lots 1. On first TOCO round, check all vehicles for break -ins, etc. & report findings in D.A.R. 2. Conduct a constant visible patrol at all times. 3. 4 pm to 6 pm: Patrol parking structure to assist employees leaving the building. 4. 6 pm to 11 pm: Patrol parking structure and lots hitting all TOCO buttons every hour. 5. Lower flags at dusk. 14
