<br />Orange County Conservation ..;orps <br />Santa Ana Workforce Investment Board <br />Request for Proposal <br />The Youth Service Provider Network <br />PY 2007/2008 <br /> <br />What kind of impact has your services made to the youth in the community? <br />Santa Ana corpsmembers have: <br />. Graduated with a high school diploma from the OCCC charter school; <br />. Earned scholarships for post-secondary instruction; <br />. Transitioned to full-time employment, gone on to advanced training, and/or are <br />attending some form of post-secondary instruction; <br />. Volunteered and participated in numerous Santa Ana community events; <br />neighborhood clean-ups, Youth Expo, charity events, etc. <br />. Participated at the local and state level to represent youth; Santa Ana Youth <br />Council, CWA state conference, local and regional WIB meetings, local youth <br />forums; <br />. Visited local legislators in Sacramento to advocate for youth. <br /> <br />The OCCC has: <br />. Hired and employed more than 400 Santa Ana youth the last 6 years; <br />. Completed numerous work projects to improve and restore several Santa Ana <br />parks, portions of Santiago Creek, and the Santa Ana Zoo; <br />. Repaired more than 20 low-income homes/apartments in Santa Ana. <br /> <br />How do you track your outcomes? <br />The OCCC uses several customized program/grant-specific databases (such as the <br />Virtual One-Stop system and PowerSchool), spreadsheets and internally developed <br />forms to track a wide variety of program and grant outcomes, including: <br /> <br />. Job placements <br />. Case notes <br />. Program services provided <br />. Hours worked <br />. Finance/budget information <br />. Number of corpsmembers enrolled <br />. Daily work/school attendance <br />. Demographic information <br />. Number of male/female successful completions <br />. Exit information <br />. Corpsmember recruitment by individual cities <br />. Average length of stay at the OCCC <br />. Project reports <br />. Corpsmember performance <br />. Hours worked & projects completed <br />. 12-month follow up contacts <br />. Support services and transition services provided <br />.
