In this capacity, Ms. Arias is responsible for community relations, project and event <br />coordination, and public information management She has worked on small to large public programs, including construction, <br />planning and environmental projects. She has a particular expertise in project coordination, client and community relations. She is <br />accustomed to working with senior staff, elected officials, business leaders and the grassroots community. She has an excellent <br />command of Spanish and knowledge of Latino communities in Southern California. <br />Relevant Experience <br />Since joining Arellano Associates in 2005, Ms. Arias has performed a variety of public outreach services for the following projects: <br />Interstate 10 Freeway Widening Project Ms. Arias serves as the project coordinator for SANBAG's Public Information and Safety <br />Program on the Interstate 10 Widening Project In this capacity, she is responsible for the weekly development and distribution of <br />traffic advisories on the local street and mainline construction activities. in addition, she supports the Project Manager in the <br />management of the Project Hotline, collateral material development and ongoing project activity. <br />Union Pacific Community Meetings Ms. Arias organized and completed a series of sic community meetings at distirâ–ºct Union Pacific <br />rail facilities in San Bernardino, Riverside and Los Angeles counties. The purpose of the meetings was to provide the public an <br />opportunity to comment upon the Emissions Reduction Program executed with the California Air Resources Board. <br />State Route 2 Freeway Terminus Environmental Document Ms. Arias serves as the project coordinator for this major project of the <br />Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority. She is responsible for public meeting coordination, including <br />advertisements, notification, database management, public comment documentation, meeting logistics and staffing. <br />Caltrans "Slow for the Cane Zone" Public Awareness Campaign For this statewide public education campaign, Ms. Arias is focused <br />upon coordinating obtaining campaign visibility at Latino special events in key markets, including Sacramento, San Diego, Los <br />Angeles and Santa Ana. <br />Duarte General Plan Update Ms. Arias working closely with City staff to obtain public input into the update of the City's general plan. <br />Specifically, Ms. Arias coordinated the completion of a community survey with more than 500 business leaders, residents and youth <br />throughout the City providing valuable input into the technical process. Ms. Arias was also responsible for coordinating public <br />meetings and community events, which were geared to extract deeper community sentiment and opinions about the various <br />elements of the City's General Plan. <br />Los Angeles County Fair 2005 Ms. Arias was responsible for Spanish -language media relations in support of the 2005 LA County <br />Fair in Pomona.
