Pride of ownership and local business <br />helps to achieve this goal. <br />Policy 2.7 "Promote rehabilitation of commercial properties, and encourage increased <br />levels of capital investment" <br />The approval of this map would insure not only the continued success of this <br />property and its business, it would also allow for more capitol investments to take <br />place through property acquisition and substantial interior improvements. <br />Economic Development Element4 <br />Goal 1 "Increase employment opportunities for local residents " <br />The current business located in the rear office building employs a large amount of <br />local Santa Ana residents. Retention of this business through a property <br />transaction would insure the long term employment stays in Santa Ana, providing <br />jobs and opportunities to the residents of Santa Ana. <br />Policy 1.2 "Continue to emphasize retention of existing labor intensive business which <br />supports community economic development goals. <br />The current business located in the rear office building employs a generous <br />amount of local Santa Ana residents. Retention of this business through a property <br />transaction would insure the long term employment stays in Santa Ana <br />Goal S "Promote a business friendly atmosphere by keeping taxes and fees at a fair level <br />competitive with those comparable communities, by assisting desirable business <br />growth.
